Pakistan and its Fanatics
What has happened to my Pakistan? I want my Pakistan back from the blood-drenched hands of the fanatic Mullahs who think the length of their beards is a sign of their devotion to God. These fanatical leaders march their idiotic, ignorant followers into the Hell of intolerance, hate, fear and murder, as though “protecting” the name of the prophet Mohammed and “defending” Islam. They fail to understand that their hate-filled, self-aggrandizing actions only lead the world of non-Muslims to fear and hate Islam and Muslims; non-Muslims cannot be faulted for believing Islam is as represented by the idiotic, ignorant and violent people we see in the news all the time.
Intellectuals and dissidents are targeted and accused of blasphemy in order to suppress them or shut them up. Sometimes, people from minority faiths are accused of blasphemy because someone has a vendetta against them, wants their property or their job. Once thus accused, the person has no recourse, if the religious courts don’t get him, the ignorant and fired-up public will. Continue reading
Is Islam dead in Pakistan?.
Is Islam dead in Pakistan?.
Religious fraud is where religion is used to mask fraud and hypocrisy. There are MANY such countries in fact, I doubt if any country is safe from such practices but I am not here to discuss the world’s ills, I am here to talk about my birth country that I want to be so proud of and yet, I am so ashamed of…Pakistan.
Pakistan is a land where religion is obvious at every corner, people have sprouted beards to show how religious they are, politicians invoke Islam whenever they get a chance, leaders and religious “scholars” spout Islam and God at every step and these last are usually seeking to exert their power and oppress people.
Oh yes, sadly Islam is used as cover to show the country how powerful and influential a certain religious “Scholar” or Mullah (imam) may be, where they rouse up masses of the ignorant and unemployed to demonstrate against things they do not like including what may have happened overseas. The “demonstrations” take the form of thousands of angry people, many of whom don’t even understand why they are there except that they need to “defend” Islam, God and the prophet Mohammed. During the “demonstration” people smash stores that may be on their way, burn cars, buses and trucks, all owned by innocent people, their own brothers and sisters in Islam, just so they can show how enraged they are. America, Christians and Muslims
Last week we had an excellent gathering at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynnwood with speakers and covered by the press. The event was organized in response to the hate and violence being promoted by the Republican Party Presidential candidates and by many others around the country. While they gave me undeserved credit, the evening was conceived and executed by the Lutheran Pastor Terry Kyllo.
Speaking at the event were:
- Opening: Lutheran Pastor Terry Kyllo
- Welcome: Church Pastor Paul Sundberg
- Lutheran Bishop Kirby Unti
- Sheikh Ismail Ahmed
- CAIR-WA Director Arsalan Bokhari
- Author Lesley Hazleton (The First Muslim and After the Prophet and many others)
- Imam Benjamin Shabazz from the WD Mohammed Muslim community
- Refugee Resettlement John Forseth
There were over 350 people present including a fair number of Muslims, it was a fabulous success!
If you would like to view the event or just listen to it, please check out the Catacombs Church link where you will also find some of the coverage from the Press. Scroll down towards the bottom to see “Audio of the event” and “Complete video of the event“.
I would like to share two thoughts with you, one about Christians and America and the other (towards the end) about Muslims… Continue reading
Pakistan Supreme Court to hear Christian woman’s blasphemy case
Follow up to “45 slaughtered in Pakistan bus”
I received some responses to my last post (“45 slaughtered in Pakistan bus“), two in particular were such that I had to respond to them. I will combine the two as one below and then reproduce my response to them further down.

I appreciate all the time & effort you put in sharing your thoughts. But, I take issue with this statement of yours, “I am not sure if it is shocking that there is little reaction in Pakistan, on the murders of so many people.” This is not the first time I’ve noticed you making statement about a country you have not visited in eons. It appears that your views on Pakistan & it’s peoples’ reaction to this tragedy are not based on any facts or reality on the ground.I am currently in Pakistan and am witnessing the impact of this tragedy on this nation first hand. The whole country is reeling from this incident because of the special place Ismaeli community holds for this country in terms of providing public services to rest of the nation.I wish you would give a second thought before making such blanket statements about a nation that leads the world in food donation and its culture is renowned for its hospitality & generosity. The deteriorating situation in Pakistan is so complex that in reality no one knows who is behind all this killing. Forgive my ignorance but I’m lost how such Posts can bring +ve change in Pakistan….. I respect Jafar for spending so much of his time on writing emails and Blogs. MaShaAllah he is very knowledgeable and he knows our Prophet (saw) was always humble, polite, and used Hikmah in his conversations. We all should do the same.
