Is Islam dead in Pakistan?.
Is Islam dead in Pakistan?.
Religious fraud is where religion is used to mask fraud and hypocrisy. There are MANY such countries in fact, I doubt if any country is safe from such practices but I am not here to discuss the world’s ills, I am here to talk about my birth country that I want to be so proud of and yet, I am so ashamed of…Pakistan.
Pakistan is a land where religion is obvious at every corner, people have sprouted beards to show how religious they are, politicians invoke Islam whenever they get a chance, leaders and religious “scholars” spout Islam and God at every step and these last are usually seeking to exert their power and oppress people.
Oh yes, sadly Islam is used as cover to show the country how powerful and influential a certain religious “Scholar” or Mullah (imam) may be, where they rouse up masses of the ignorant and unemployed to demonstrate against things they do not like including what may have happened overseas. The “demonstrations” take the form of thousands of angry people, many of whom don’t even understand why they are there except that they need to “defend” Islam, God and the prophet Mohammed. During the “demonstration” people smash stores that may be on their way, burn cars, buses and trucks, all owned by innocent people, their own brothers and sisters in Islam, just so they can show how enraged they are. When is it “Anti-Semitism”?
If this standard was demanded for a definition of Islamophobia, would YOU be okay with it?
“Islamophobia is a certain perception of Muslims, which may be expressed as hatred toward Muslims. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of Islamophobia are directed toward Muslim or non-Muslim individuals and/or their property, toward Muslim community institutions and religious facilities.”
Substitute “Jews” instead of “Muslims” and that is what Jewish organizations are demanding that all countries adopt as their legal definition for Anti-Semitism, thus criminalizing the so-defined, “anti-Semitic” behavior. The IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance) definition of Anti-Semitism that was concocted in Bucharest on May 27th 2016. Ever since then, Jewish organizations have been strongly agitating to have this “definition” adopted on an international scale.
Now Britain has also caved to the intense pressure from Jewish communities and organizations and has adopted the so-called, “Internationally-recognized definition of Anti-Semitism”, The US, I am pretty sure, is next to adopt it. As a fig leaf that fools nobody, British Labour Party has allowed for a moderating clause that “approved” a statement which “…ensures this will not in any way undermine freedom of expression on Israel or the rights of Palestinians”. This is already drawing fire from British Jewish organizations and I expect it will not be long before this modification is erased. Continue reading
Yes! Move US Embassy to Jerusalem!
It sure looks like it is happening now that Trump has informed Abbas that the US Embassy will be moved to Jerusalem. Abbas, like all other Palestinian leaders, will grovel and accept but make lots of noises about how terrible it would be. Arab leaders will do their typical “I’m mad!” dance and shout that this will mean the end of the world because the gates of Hell will crash open if the US does so. Mindless Muslims across the world will demonstrate how upset they are and they will proceed to burn their neighbors’ properties to show their rage at the US. Europe will state in a most civilized manner, that this step would not be helpful.
The FBI will go on high alert in the US and will start to look for yet more “Muzlems” to target but the world will move on… Continue reading
To the FBI Director: Concerning Muslims
April 30th, 2014
Director James B. Comey
FBI Headquarters
935 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, D.C. 20535-0001
Dear Director Comey,
It was with envy and more than a little dismay, that I read the text of your speech at the ADL National Leadership Summit in Washington, DC.,
Envy because a minority group is so well-organized that people of all stripes and ranks visit them and talk at their meetings while heaping praise on the minority group’s works. As a Muslim, I am quite envious of the respect you gave to the ADL, because we haven’t even had the FBI give so much as the time of day to CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations), the only effective Muslim organization that looks after our civil rights. Please note, I am not a member of CAIR, but it has my wholehearted support..
To be sure, there are back-door approaches between the FBI and CAIR but that is demeaning to us Muslims. Rather like the old days when Blacks were met at the back door, while Continue reading

Will we…should we Muslims grow up to be like our Jewish cousins?
The admirable thing about Jews of today is that even while they might dislike each other between groups, there are some issues over which they come together like a solid rock and thus scare the devil out of self-promoting politicians who in turn, make sure that Anti-Semitism or, even a shadow thereof is caught and fought before it ever raises its ugly head.
The discouraging thing about us Muslims is that we are ever Continue reading

Joni Balter’s piece on the French “burqa ban”
In writing her article in the Seattle Times (Rethinking France’s Burqa ban http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/opinion/2016417207_joni06.html), I believe Ms. Balter is guilty of lumping several different issues into one and over-simplifying them all. It also appears to me that while she may have spoken with a few Muslim women who were liberal, she did not appear to have made the effort of talking to some conservative Muslim women who did prefer the coverings.
First, the matter of burqa and niqab. I agree it is not right for men to force women to wear these coverings, but at the same time, there are many Muslim women who willingly wear these coverings and I personally know many who would feel that being forced to take off the coverings is tantamount to being disrobed in public. Ms. Balter appears to take the position that the coverings are because men are forcing women to cover up. Frances laws are geared to punish the MEN for women wearing the coverings, is that not placing men in a position where they are forcing women to NOT wear coverings even if they want to?
