That is rich! Rather like David Duke being invited to speak about the equality of all human beings or, to bring it closer to home for WHERC, like inviting a member of the Nazi Party to speak about fighting hate.
Strong opinion, some would say, but just look at their record… Read more »
Far too many people are under the misguided impression that Justice and the Law, are one and the same, just as many people are also under the illusion that the United States has a constitution that protects us all with equal justice, that we WILL have our day in court and if innocent, nothing can happen to us.
These people are in the same class of children who desperately cling to believing in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.

On November 5, 2009, an Army Major Nidal Hassan, a US Army Psychiatrist, walked in the Processing Center at Fort Hood, Texas and started shooting. Ten minutes later, 13 people been murdered and 30 wounded and he himself, lay on the ground, also badly wounded.
What drove the man to commit such horrific violence on his fellow soldiers? Senator Joe Lieberman wanted to declare it an act of terrorism and he was echoed by many others including Gen. Barry McCaffrey; self-styled “experts” on Islam and terrorism such as Walid Phares, were quick to jump on the “Islamic Terrorism” bandwagon with their own declarations. In a superb show of reason, the Defense Department refused to call it an act of terrorism and called it instead, an act of workplace violence Read more »
Well, the bus ads saga continues and with it, the disappointment and the damage of trust with the FBI grows.
It appears that the FBI is unable or unwilling to get us a straight story and it also appears that the FBI is working hard to divide Muslim up so that one groups lack of dissent can be used against another group’s vigorous dissent.
We are told that the ad-campaign including the objectionable bus ad, is all controlled by the people in the Justice Department, specifically, RewardsForJustice (RFJ) program. Having spoken with the folks at RFJ, I was told in absolutely clear terms that the program was being funded by RFJ, but they had no input in it and it is completely a local Seattle FBI/JTTF program. Even the posters carry an e-signature that identifies them as “Seattle-JTTF Campaign”.
The FBI keeps telling me that they had in fact, discussed it with various members of the Muslim leadership. A few of the people I checked this out with told me they were informed of the program in May but Read more »
Muslim-bashing has become so much a part of Law Enforcement training and accepted by a bigotry-driven government that nobody seems to care, mind or even think about what might be wrong with a bigotry-promoting message.
The local Seattle FBI and the local Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTFF) received funds from a Fatherland Security program called “Rewards for Justice”, to launch a public-awareness campaign against terrorism so, what do they do?
Check out the local buses and you will see the ad below on its sides, 16 pictures of “trrrrts” who all look to the layman and the ultra-patriotic bigot, as “Muzlems“. I can just picture the local (National?) bigotry community, the Hate-Islam radio hosts, the right-wing-nut Tea Party membership and the Republican Party membership who love America so much that they are willing to destroy all “Muzlems” from Amerika; I can just picture them chortling with delight because their position that Muslim are America’s greatest threat, has been underscored by the Feds.
“Lock and load boys! Let’s make ‘merca safe!” This will be their rallying call.
The JTFF is not known for its tolerant position towards Muslims, I know at least one member, a detective from the Seattle Police Department Read more »
President Obama’s speech was just great today, he spoke resolutely, looking presidential, moral and protective of the USA.
Most Americans would have felt proud that their president was standing up for justice, against Gitmo, against terrorism and unwaveringly for the United States.
That is, until we realize that the man before us is a lawyer and is excellent at selecting words so that most people believe they are hearing what they want to hear. This was a speech where we heard a lot, but most of the sounds were of Obama tap-dancing around real issues, saying he had nothing to do with things that he had everything to do with and we were…ARE…expected to lap it all up as God’s own truth. As Groucho Marx once said, “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?” Read more »
These are the thoughts running through most minds in America, Muslims included. Yes, we Muslims were praying for the perpetrators to not be Muslim, but deep in our hearts, we had a suspicion that the chances of the perpetrators being Muslim were pretty high. Most of us are worrying about reactions from non-Muslim Americans who range from impressionable (by bigots), neutral folks to those who want us all out of our country, to those who would rather just pick up their guns and “get rid” of us…thanks to self-promoting fear-mongering bigots like Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, Stephen Emerson, Pamela Geller, Bridgette Gabriel and scores of others.
The two Muslim boys/men are from Kyrgyzstan, originally part of Chechens who had been mass-deported there from Chechnya by Stalin. They had grown up in the US and were quite the normal kids, good students with friends. So, what happened? Obviously, we will not find out unless the younger brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (probably derived from ‘Jauhar’…Jewel) is captured alive and decides to talk, but I can speculate.
The following is a generalization and does NOT cover all Muslims or, ALL non-Muslim Americans, but part of the reason is that Read more »
Below is the cover letter I sent to the members of the House Congressional Asia Pacific American Caucus, along with an overview of the documents that I included in the CD that went with the letter..
The plan is to get members of congress aware of the hostile climate created against Islam and Muslims with funding from the Federal Government and with luck, they will then start inquiries as to why our government should be so deeply involved in creating and promoting hate against their own citizens.
Muslims should be paying attention to the hate being cultivated against them and should be thinking of collective actions against such hate. tragically, what divides us (sectarianism and apathy) appears to be stronger than what should be bringing us closer (anti-Muslim hate-promotion). Read more »
