Why should Muslims try to work together and create a voting bloc for our common interests?
Except for those Muslims who have been comatose for the past many years, it is obvious that hostility towards Islam and Muslims is growing fast and with a vengeance. Countries are enacting laws against Muslims under the pretext of defending “Freedom”, “Democracy” or some other empty slogan that people in the West cherish but fail to practice.
Switzerland has banned the construction of minarets; not Church spires, minarets.
The US has made it okay (2010-2014 NDAA Section 1021) to imprison Muslims…FOREVER, without charges or trial.
This thought has crossed many a young mind and some have even turned it into action and why not? These young Muslims have only experienced fear of Islam and Muslims in this, their own country. They have seen the Police and the FBI turn and persecute Muslims only because of their faith and they have seen politicians bash Islam and Muslims and actually inch closer to success because of their hate-mongering. Many Churches and Synagogues, supposedly houses of God where the only thing to be preached is love of God and His creation, seem to have taken it upon themselves to promote fear of Islam and Muslims.
“Maybe this is not my country”, thinks the young, passionate and emotional man and woman. “Maybe, if they hate Islam and Muslims so much, I don’t belong here but over there, where these “Kuffar” (Unbelievers) are busy killing more Muslims. Maybe I should go help in the Jihad against these infidels and get them out of our lands. So what if I should die? I will be a Shaheed, a Martyr and God will allow me to go to Heaven for defending my faith” Continue reading
Once upon a time, there was peace in the world. Well, peace in so far as Mankind is capable of peace so, perhaps it would be better to rephrase that opening line by saying, “Once upon a time, the world was not in flames”. There were dictators who obeyed the Super-powers that brought the dictators to power and there were super-powers who fought covert wars between themselves, being careful to use proxy fighters and none of their own; such policies are protected by the Doctrine of Plausible Deniability where everyone knows what happened and who did it, but there are no red-handed representatives of the “other” to blame and thus, open war could be avoided.
So yes, once upon a time there was a relative peace of sorts, in this world. Dictators made sure they could stay in power and they did so with the help of the super-powers, chiefly the USA and the Soviet Union. The dictators had a little interest in helping their own tribal people, but only because that is where they could most be assured of loyalty and continue in power. If one group decided to start a hate-campaign against another on grounds of ethnic, religious or, sectarian lines, the dictator would squash that group until there were no more upstarts. Free speech was irrelevant but by and large, people were free to follow their desires as long as the Dictator’s boat was not rocked. Continue reading
Although I personally believe ISIS is evil, evil itself, has never been a standard for the US or for the West, to wage war on anyone, we all know that the US is fighting ISIS because ISIS is against the US, otherwise, “we could do business with ISIS“. History is full of incredibly EVIL leaders that the US and Western empires have place at the necks of people in order to strengthen their own control, we ourselves, are not innocent of much brutality…in the past and now.
This article explores Police in America, where are they heading and what makes them so violent. We will also seek some solutions as to how to change the culture of violence in our Police.
Muh Fell’ ‘Mericans!
Okay, so his enunciation was better, did many others pay same attention to what was said, how it was said and what it could mean for us Muslims?
His speech was brief but ominous, I thought. He started by talking about Al Qaeda and how the US succeeded in “taking out” much of Al Q leadership.
Yes, but at what cost to the people of those countries where they struck out at anything that moved, butchered dozens and sometimes, hundreds of people merely on “suspicion” that they were “militants or insurgents”? These victims including women and children. It would be no exaggeration to conclude that at least tens of thousands of people have been deliberately killed because of America’s zeal to “eliminate” suspects! Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud was finally killed in 2009, after 29 attempts to kill him. Twenty-eight attempts in which everyone in the vicinity where he was suspected to be, was murdered…except Baitullah Mehsud. But that doesn’t matter, does it? The US stopped counting “collateral losses” after the stink grew too much…shortly after bringing democracy to Afghanistan. The US then redefined “Radical/insurgent/terrorist” to include anyone who may be in the same location as the “suspects” because (the US said), nobody had any business being close to a suspect unless they were participating in the same activities. Bingo! collateral losses went down to zero immediately.
“More British Muslims Fight for Islamic State Than Britain“, “Somali-Americans leave homes, friends in Minnesota to fight alongside ISIS jihadis” scream just a few of the headlines in the Media recently.
I detest ISIS and all other fanatics fighting as Muslims, whether they do so in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan or, anywhere else. These people think they are protecting and promoting Islam, by brutally killing anyone…Muslim or not…who does not subscribe to their own narrow belief system. They are oppressive and their ways of killing are brutal. Psychopathic would perhaps be a better way of describing their behavior, because they kill without any thought. Continue reading

“Suicide-bombers blow themselves up because they are promised 72 virgins in Heaven”
Oh, how this statement makes my skin crawl!
Critics of Islam like to describe “Virgins in Paradise” (“Houris”) as base, sex-objects and motivation for Muslim suicide-bombers, because it helps promote hate and fear towards Islam and Muslims. The tactic works because of the negative connotations for sex in the ‘Christian’ part of the “Judeo-Christian Civilization”. Continue reading
This article (“When Genocide is Permissible
“) by a Jewish journalist was published in “The Times of Israel”, but was taken down, probably after they were informed about the embarrassment of publishing such an article…but not before it was picked up and re-published in other media such as on Mondoweiss. I am re-producing it below (note especially
, the closing words).
This attitude of perpetrating Genocide on Palestinians is nothing new, it has been promoted and talked about, in the highest circles of Israeli and Diaspora Jewish societies, it has been insisted upon by prominent Jewish Rabbis, one Rabbi Rontzki (former Chief Rabbi of IDF) even told the invading Israeli troops that to spare the lives of ANY men, women or children in Gaza would condemn the IDF soldiers to Hell). Besides, the US is ever-present to ensure accusations of War Crimes or Genocide by Israel (or itself!), are never brought to court.
Muslims are not losing the battle for opinion on Israel/Palestine, we never had it.
Since the first time Americans learnt about that area, it was more “Israel” than it was “Palestine”. Americans were told there is no such thing as Palestine and Israel is the land that has been “returned” to the Jewish people who are “returning” to what was coined as “A land without people, for a people without a land”. As late as the 1970’s, Israeli leaders continued to insist that were no such thing as “Palestinians”, disregarding the fact that the total period of Hebrew rule in that land was a mere couple of hundred years, while much of the the Palestinians have been there for thousands of years, some harkening back to the Canaanite period.
